7 Top Tips to Get More Clients on Instagram in 2024

How to get more clients on Instagram in 2024

The Instagram game is changing as we move into 2024, are you ready?

After the Instagram ManyChat Summit...

It was the Instagram ManyChat online summit last week and one of the big things I learned from speakers is that Instagram is changing things up as we go into 2024.

Instagram have had a HUGE focus on Reels over the last couple of years; this is about to change.  Reels are no longer to be favoured by the algorithm.  If you've never been a huge fan of dancing and pointing at the screen, this is great news for you; as it is for everyone (like me) who likes depth and grit in their content strategy.

Longer form posts such as carousels are about to be on an equal playing field with Reels and all other Instagram content; about time too!

Things might be a little disruptive on Instagram as they make these imminent changes BUT it's a positive change for us genuine content creators who aren't in the game "just to go viral".... this is a business; I'm glad Instagram are changing this.

So, as the platform is constantly evolving, here are some of the things you should know and my top 15 tips to help you attract more potential clients on Instagram in 2024:

1.Optimize Your Profile:

Have a head and shoulders profile picture clearly showing your face and you looking at the camera.  Have a no-fluff bio that clearly describes what you do, who for and how you help.

Use keywords relevant to your business in your bio for improved discoverability.

2. A Solid Content Strategy:

Post high-quality, engaging content regularly.   Have a consistent posting schedule and STICK TO IT.

Use a mix of carousels, lives, reels videos, stories, and other reels.

Keep your content relevant to your brand & your target audience and showcase your expertise.

Use popular and relevant hashtags to increase the discoverability of your posts.

3. Stories and Reels:

Stop making Instagram Stories the "bottom of the attention" pile.  Instagram stories will change the game for your business if you use them correctly.  (See my course Story Prompts & Profits which shows you how to make money daily purely by using Instagram Stories in the best way).

Just because Reels reach is about to decrease and be on par with everything else, doesn't mean bin them off!  Reels are a great way to build authority in your niche through quick, easy mini trainings.

4. Collaborations:

Do joint livestreams with others who have a slightly different niche to you but share a very similar audience.  This way, you're capturing the attention of a lot of people at once and will grow your following much quicker.

5. Engage with Your Audience:

Respond straight away (or as soon as possible) to comments on your posts.
Reply to your DM's (direct messages).
Reciprocate; Show appreciation to your followers - give likes and comments on their content.
Host Q&A sessions or live streams to interact with your audience.

6. Paid ads:

I'm a massive fan of ads.  Chances are, you found me through an ad.  Ads get you in front of A LOT of people.  Organic Instagram strategies take up a lot of your time.  Ads give you your time back for as little as £1 per day per ad (the way I teach :) )

7. Track Analytics:

  • Regularly analyze your performance through Instagram Insights and other analytics tools. Adjust your strategy based on what works best for your audience.

Remember that the key to success on Instagram is to provide value to your audience, build relationships, and maintain a consistent and visually appealing brand presence. Adapt your strategy as the platform evolves and as your business's goals change.
