How I Made My First 100 Course Sales Online With a Small Audience WITHOUT Burning Myself Out.

How I Made My First 100 Course Sales Online With a Small Audience WITHOUT Burning Myself Out.

When I created my first course, I didn’t wake up to 100 sales overnight.

I didn’t have a huge audience (roughly 700 followers and around 100 people on my email list).  Reels weren't even a thing then (really showing my age and how long I've been doing this 🤣.

I didn't have a big ads budget either... I'm talking £20!

...but I did have clarity, strategy, and a strong desire to create something that genuinely helped people.

Here’s exactly how I made my first 100 course sales, and how you can, too:

1. I didn’t guess.  My course idea came from real people:

Before I created a single module, I asked myself:
“What are my people actually stuck on?”
"What is a common topic I'm always talking about / coaching on?"

This was not just what I wanted to teach, but what I saw clients and potential clients struggling with every single day.

At that time, it was "how do I actually get clients from Instagram?"

My answer was always "Instagram stories is the best way, more than 80% of my clients come to me through stories... here's how..."
I found myself repeating the answer to this question SO MUCH that I created a mini offer (called Story Prompts & Profits) all about this.

It's recently had a full remaster to keep my clients up-to-date with what's working great on Instagram Stories right now to get clients every day on Instagram as we're heading towards 2026!

This is now my best selling mini offer and I've sold over 10,000 copies worldwide!  Crazy to think when I first started out selling this, I made just a handful of sales during the first week!

If you’re unsure what your course should focus on, look at your DMs, coaching calls, or past client calls.  The golden thread is already there in the questions they're asking you.

What do you keep repeating over and over again?  This is your answer.

2. I warmed up my audience before selling to them

I knew better than to launch to crickets.

I focused on building a warm, engaged Instagram following and started growing a small email list first.

No huge numbers, just quality people who genuinely cared about what I had to say.

I used:

Content that peaked curiosity and that actually solved a problem
Instagram stories to spark curiosity and start conversations
Emails that sparked curiosity on how I was able to get clients, purely using Instagram stories

I did a 2 week pre-launch (including BTS, sneak peaks and other curiosity hooks) before dropping the offer.

🔥 This became the foundation for my first 100 sales.

3. I obsessed over my messaging... NOT my logo

Every time I posted about the course, I asked:

Is this clear?
Is this specific?
Is this solving the problem they know they have?

I ditched vague phrases like “up-level your biz” and leaned into things like:

“Tired of making posting every day on Instagram and getting zero sales? Let’s fix that.”
“Want to know the easiest way to get clients on Instagram? Here's how....”

Messaging that's specific and feels like a friend calling you out lovingly; that’s what converts.

4. I used a ‘quiet launch’ strategy that didn’t fry my nervous system

I didn’t do a big webinar, challenge, or countdown timer.... none of these are needed for low ticket course sales with mid-ticket upgrade offers.

Instead, I just:

✅ Sent 7 value-packed emails
✅ Shared behind-the-scenes on IG
✅ Used voice notes in DMs for REAL connection when someone asked a question
✅ Made it easy to buy without pressure

6. Using Paid Ads to Amplify What Was Working:

I'm a massive fan of ads.

Chances are, you found me through an ad.  Ads get you in front of A LOT of people within a short space of time.

Organic Instagram strategies take up a lot of your time.  If I was doing organic strategies alone, to have the growth I've had, I'll have been working 12-15hrs a day (this is common for most multi 6-figure online coaches.  ... instead, I've always worked less than 20hrs a week with a very small team (just me and my VA who works 6-7hrs a week).

Selling courses online; you're either trading your time OR your money.
The way I teach inside of CASAccelerator, you're profitable from the get-go.

Ads give you your time back for as little as £2 per day per ad (the way I teach :) )

One last thing...

I didn’t try to feel like an expert. I just showed up as someone who figured out a shortcut and wanted to share it.

If you’re trying to get your first 100 course sales:

You don’t need a huge audience, a big ad budget, or expensive tech.

You just need:

✅ A clear offer that solves a real problem
✅ People who trust you
✅ A way to talk about your offer that feels aligned
✅ Do that and stay consistent ... and the first 100 won’t be your last.

Fast Messy Action!

Much love always,
Camille xx
